The successful chosen candidate will form part of a dynamic team that handles a predominantly international clientele operating across a wide range of industries as well as the firm’s private clients. General responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinating and handling day-to-day client requests in relation to their companies.
- Apply statutory obligations, company law, and regulatory frameworks in a practical, client-focused setting.
- Support clients by identifying legal, accounting, and fiscal principles to enable and identify implications to support clients by giving well-rounded guidance.
- Participate in strategic discussions by understanding the broader business context in which clients operate.
- Attend corporate client meetings and the keeping of minutes.
- Liaising with lawyers, accountants, auditors and other service providers on behalf of the corporate clients.
- Collection and verification of due diligence conducted as part of our know your client procedures.
- Overseeing more junior members of the team.
Requirements of the ideal candidate:
- A good understanding of Maltese company law and the role of a company secretary.
- Excellent communication skills especially in English and Maltese, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and commitment to get a job done to a high standard.
