She is responsible for overseeing a team of tax accountants servicing clients from various industries, ensuring professional client engagement, compliance with Maltese tax legislation, focused on commitment, reliability and provision of timely solutions. She is passionate about developing people and building strong, collaborative teams, which enhances the overall performance of the department by fostering an open and high-performance environment.

Maria Kristina’s professional journey began in 2015, as a junior associate at one of the Big 4 firms in Malta. She worked towards obtaining her ACCA qualification, qualifying as an ACCA member in 2019 and later becoming a Fellow of the Association and obtaining her CPA warrant. In 2021, she pursued the Professional Award in Taxation with the Malta Institute of Taxation, graduating in 2022.

Her practice focuses on direct and indirect taxation at corporate and individual level, covering both local and international tax matters. She is invested in advising and assisting clients across a wide range of industries on complex tax compliance and advisory issues. 

Maria Kristina is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Malta Institute of Accountants, and the Malta Institute of Taxation. She is actively involved in knowledge sharing, delivering lectures at local institutions, including the University of Malta and also sits on several committees at local organisations.
