Dr. Joseph Ghio is a shareholder a sits on the Board of Directors of the Fenlex Group of companies and also co-heads the Financial Services and Aviation Departments of Fenech & Fenech Advocates. He graduated in 2001 as a Doctor of Laws from the Faculty of Laws of the University of Malta and holds a Masters of Arts in Financial Services from the same university. His main practice areas include securities law, investment services, capital markets, banking, insurance and aviation but is also active in M&A transactions and asset finance. More recent expertise includes advising the FinTech, Blockchain and Crypto-Asset industries. Joe is a visiting lecturer in Aviation Law and Investment Services Laws at the Faculty of Laws of the University of Malta. He is ranked as a leading Maltese practitioner in Financial Services and Corporate/Commercial by the Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR directories, and listed since 2011 as a World Leading Aviation Practitioner for Malta in the Aviation Expert Guide of the Euromoney / Legal Media Group.
